Biography
Raqesh Vashisth ia an India TV serial actor. He became first runner-up in Grasim Mr. India 1999. 

Raqesh made his screen debut in Anubhav Sinha's Tum Bin (2001). He made his debut in the Zee serial, Saat Phere, with him gaining instant recognition on the small screen within a short span of time.

Raqesh's father is a retired Major in the Army and his mother retired as an English teacher at Dr Kalmadi Shamarao high School in Pune.He did his pre-school from Amravati He is married to Riddhi Dogra, his co-star from Maryada - Lekin Kab Tak on May 2011.

Raqesh Vashisth is an Indian film and television actor. After winning 1999 Grasim Mr. India first runner-up title, he started getting offers from Bollywood. He made his big screen debut with Anubhav Sinha's Tum Bin (2001). He failed to make a mark at the box-office and decided to turn to television. He made his debut on television with the daily soap Saat Phere, which made him gain instant recognition in a short span of time. He played the role of Asad Ahmed Khan in the daily soap Qubool Hai.

Raqesh was born on 1 September 1978 in Mumbai, Maharashtra as Rakesh Bapat. His father is a navy captain and his mother was an English teacher at Dr Kalmadi Shamarao high School in Pune. He did his pre-school from Amravati. He has also done ads for Colgate, Wrigley's chewing gum, SSI-Education and Lux, Fiama di wills with Deepika Padukone and many more. Raqesh was highly recognized as male protagonist Aditya in the Star Plus show Maryada: Lekin Kab Tak?.

Raqesh Vashisth replaced Karan Singh Grover as Asad Ahmed Khan in Qubool Hai. He started his first sequence with an action stunt which left everyone impressed. Raqesh is a good actor and the production house made a wise choice by selecting Raqesh as KSG's replacement. His emotion filled eyes and dialogue delivery seems perfectly in sync with the Asad's character. But he has decided to quit the show because of the leap. He was not willing to play a father post leap in the show.
