Biography
Udita Goswami is an Indian model and actress. She is from the Garhwal state of Uttarakhand.

Career
The green-eyed, 5'8" actress started her career in modeling, then made her jump into the Bollywood industry. She modeled for PepsiCo, Titan Watch and Nokia among other companies.

Her first film was Paap directed by Pooja Bhatt. Her next film Zeher, which also starred Emraan Hashmi and Shamita Shetty, was her breakthrough role and she became a well known face in the industry. Her role was that of a femme fatale. The film was controversial as it included some explicit scenes. She also acted in the movie Aksar, opposite Dino Morea and Emraan Hashmi. She was featured with Upen Patel in Ahmed Khan's music video of the remix of Kya Khoob Lagti Ho.

She has done performances for political awareness. She was educated in Dehradun, capital of the Indian state of Uttarakhand, nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas. She studied at the D.A.V.Public school until class 8. She is dating film director Mohit Suri.

Udita Goswami (born 9 February 1984)[1] is an Indian actress who works in Hindi cinema.

Early life[edit]

Goswami was born in Dehradun, Uttarakhand [2] to a Garhwali father from Uttarakhand and a mother from Shillong, Meghalaya who has Nepali origins. Goswami's grandmother is a Nepalese national[3] who is a sister of former Nepalese Prime Minister Tulsi Giri. She spent most of childhood in Kathmandu, Nepal later she moved and she completed her education in Dehradun where she studied at Cambrian Hall and D.A.V. Public schools until class 8.[4][5]

Career[edit]

Goswami began her career as a model working for brands such as Pepsi, Titan Watches and Aksar opposite Dino Morea. She also appeared with Upen Patel in Ahmed Khan's music video for the remix ofKya Khoob Lagti Ho.[6]
In 2012, she played the lead role in Diary of a Butterfly. One reviewer wrote that the film "seems to be based on 2 things: 1. Udita Goswami, 2. Udita Goswami’s body."[7]

Goswami was in a relationship with Mohit Suri for 9 years before marrying him in 2013.[8]
