Mohan Bhandari, Indian TV ActorThe extremely talented actor Mohan Bhandari appeared as the lovable father in one of the most popular shows on Zee Television titled 'Saat Phere'. His appearance as the strict father of the female protagonist of the soap Saloni has earned him rave reviews. 

This talented actor had left his officer's job with State Bank of India in the year 1996 to pursue his interest in acting. He also suffered from a brain hemorrhage and had quite a tough time in his life at that point of time. After he made his comeback into the acting circuit and was offered few roles in UTV and Cinevistaas by Manish Goswami. He next bagged a role in the serial 'Saat Phere' 

Mohan Bhandari earlier appeared in several other serials including 'Karz', 'Parampara', 'Jeevan Mrityu', 'Pathjhad', 'Gumraah' and 'Mile Sur Mera Tumhara'. This great actor was also seen in the Bollywood historical blockbuster 'Mangal Pandey-The Rising' starring Aamir Khan. He was also seen in a significant role in the much popular soap 'Kittie Party'. Mohan Bhandari's son Dhruv Bhandari is all set to make his acting debut with Manish Goswami's 'Sixxerr'. His role is that of a successful cricketer in this show.

Actor Dhruv Bhandari, who has returned to television after three years with Rajan Shahi's Tere Shehar Mein, is in no frame of mind to celebrate his comeback. Reason: His father, senior actor Mohan Bhandari, is battling brain tumour. "Dad is my greatest inspiration in life. He has always worked hard to give us everything. I have seen him go through the ups and downs of life without complaints. He has seen the extreme ends of everything — days of stardom and those of an ordinary person. There was a time when he was flooded with scripts to choose from and then, there came a stage when he had to make calls requesting for auditions. From being absolutely healthy, he now lives a life of restrictions because of brain tumour. The last two years have been very difficult for my entire family and the most for him," he says.

Despite his illness, Dhruv says, his father guides him in acting. "He makes me focus on the smallest of details, but never spoon-feeds. For instance, if I ask him about a certain scene or dialogue, he will first ask me to try it on my own. He has supported me more than other family members, because they don't understand the profession like he does. If I become big in future, it will be because of his guidance," he elaborates.
