Udita Goswami (born 9 February 1984)[1] is an Indian actress who works inHindi cinema.
Early life[edit]
Udita was born in Dehradun, Uttarakhand [2] to a Garhwali father from Garhwal, Uttarakhand, Nepali origin mother hails from Shillong, Meghalayaand her grandmother is also Nepalese[3] who is a sister of former Nepalese Prime Minister Tulsi Giri. She spent most of childhood in Kathmandu, Nepallater she moved and she completed her education in Dehradun where she studied at Cambrian Hall and D.A.V. Public schools until class 8.[4][5]
Career[edit]
Goswami began her career as a model working for brands such as Pepsi, Titan Watches and Aksar opposite Dino Morea.
She was featured with Upen Patel in Ahmed Khan's music video of the remix of Kya Khoob Lagti Ho.[6]
In 2012, she played the lead role in Diary of a Butterfly. One reviewer wrote that the film "seems to be based on 2 things: 1. Udita Goswami, 2. Udita Goswami’s body."[7]
Personal life[edit]
She was in a relationship with Mohit Suri for 9 years before marrying him on January 29, 2013.[8] Proud parents Udita Goswami and Mohit Suri’s bundle of joy will be called ‘Devi’. Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt took to social networking media to announce the name of the girl child, born to Udita and Mohit on 2nd January.
