Vineet Kumar[1][2][3] is a veteran Indian actor, well known for playing negative, comic and character roles. He has done a number of Hindi, English and Telugu films and Television serials. He is sometimes credited as Vinit Kumar, Binit Kumar or Vineeth Kumar also.

Vineet was born in Patna, Bihar. He did his schooling from Rosra School. He completed his graduation from [[]], Patna. He was very active in theatre during his college days in Patna. He went on to join the Indian Peoples' Theatre Association (IPTA), Patna, in 1973. After 14 years of stage work and participating in national politics during the Jayaprakash Narayan Movement, he moved to Delhi to join the National School of Drama where he completed his Masters & Fellowship in Dramatic Arts.
Personal life[edit]
Vineet Kumar currently lives in Mumbai and is married to Manoranjan Dhaliwal who teaches ESL at Princess Noura University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He loves photography and is an amateur photographer as well. He is younger brother of Bihar Cadre IPS officer Sunit Kumar.
Career[edit]
He has appeared in a number of Hindi films. These include Drohkaal, Kachche Dhaage, Aks, Yeh Dil, Soch and Shool. Apart from Bollywood movies he has also worked on Hollywood assignments such as Return to Rajapur with Lynn Collins;Bhopal: A Prayer for Rain with Martin Sheen and Mischa Barton. He has also appeared in a number of Telugu, Tamil andBhojpuri movies. He was the main villain in original Telugu version of Rowdy Rathore – Vikramarkudu.
He has worked with veteran directors like Govind Nihalani, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Prakash Jha and Ram Gopal Varma, among others. Apart from being a well known face on Indian Television, Vineet is well respected by actors and directors of enviable stature.
