Karan Patel (born November 23, 1983, in Calcutta, India)[2] is an Indiantelevision actor. Currently he is seen in Ekta Kapoor's Yeh Hai Mohabbateinopposite Divyanka Tripathi.

Karan Patel was born in Calcutta. His father's name is Rashesh Patel [3] and only son in the Gujrati family with business as their profession. He did his schooling from Utpal Sanghvi School, Juhu, Mumbai and then graduation from Mithibai College, Mumbai. He has attended Kishore Namit Kapoor's Acting School as well as London School of Arts. He has also attended Shiamak Davar's dance classes.[4]
Career[edit]
He starred in the STAR Plus series Kasturi, where he played the male lead Robbie Sabarwal. His role in Kasturi is his first as the lead. Previously, he played a number of roles in Balaji Telefilms'. His first role was in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii where he played Vigyat. He has also worked in Kasautii Zindagii Kay and Kasamh Se.[5] Currently he is working in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, he recently won Best Actor award for it at Zee Gold Awards[6]
